The PFQ Message

Last Updated October 20, 2007

PFQ Music

While PFQ's presentation may be professional in appearance, it's the message that gives it authority.   If you think about it, the popular music we hear on the airwaves sounds authoritative, but it is mostly based upon man's idea of wisdom - it's ultimately empty.   Many Christians today overlook the importance of referring to God’s Word, the Bible, as a road map and authority or "owner's manual" for life.   He is, after all, our Designer and Creator.   We often forget or ignore what He has already told us in the Scriptures.   Unfortunately, the world can sense the error and that can turn them away.   Could it be that we Christians need to study the Scriptures truly to renew our minds and to change our way of thinking on life’s important issues?   If we don't anchor our thoughts in the Scriptures, will we be surprised when we encounter difficulties of our own making?

The Plourd Family Quartet (PFQ) music ministry provides a refreshing look at our Lord and his Creation:

o       Jesus Christ - the One who bought each of us - the One we serve;

o       Family members - marriage and child-rearing;

o       The local church - its makeup, purpose, relationships and organization; and

o       The rest of the world - evangelism and governments.

God designed each of these relationships for us to embrace - to promote His order in the world today and for all eternity.

1 Chronicles 25 - Sharing the truths of Scripture (prophesying) through music . . .
"Moreover David and the captains of the host separated to the service of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals. . . who prophesied with a harp, to give thanks and to praise the LORD. . . to lift up the horn. . . All these were under the hands of their father for song in the house of the LORD, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God, according to the king’s order."

PFQ on Issues

Keith (Dad) has addressed groups graciously on family matters he is passionate about.  His perspective is rooted in years of being a disciple of Christ and studying God's word.   He has deepened his commitment through service as board member for the Christian Home Educators of New Hampshire and for Cornerstone Policy Research, a New Hampshire organization affiliated with Focus on the Family.   Consider whether you would want him to speak to your fellowship on any of the following:

The Bible: Owner's Manual, Contract/Covenant and Road Map

These three document types hold much insight into our relationship with our Lord, Jesus Christ.   This talk will help you view your relationship to Him in perhaps a new and exciting way!

Christian Paradigms

We live according to many assumptions we don't even realize.   Our culture has been programmed into our experience.   This message will encourage you to consider common paradigms (prime examples) in light of God's Word - looking at things from, as it were, a clean slate.   You will come away from this message either excited about new possibilities for your life, seeing God as bigger than your personal experience, or you'll wish you had heard it a long time ago!

Home Education - What Does God Say About It?

Does our Lord want us to educate our children, or is there another word He uses?   What is our relationship to our children?   What does He command in this area?   Why do some Christians choose to keep their children at home?   What are the results of doing so?   Hear what an experienced home school dad and a Governor of the Christian Home Educators of New Hampshire has to say about it.

Marriage - What the Creator Had In Mind

Why does there seem to be stress in many marriages?   What did He command us concerning marriage?   How can we get back on the right track?   Why should I marry or remain married?   What is marriage all about?   How can we deal with pressures on marriage from the world around us?   Discover truths from God's Word that we can implement in our own lives!

Christian Foundations - Creationism and Confident Living

Did Noah's flood really happen?   Why would that be important to us today?   The implications of this event and conditions in the world before the flood have a far-reaching impact on our lives and culture today.   Discover why and how your understanding of this event determines your behavior.

How To Recognize and Deal With Contrary Cultural Influences

We know that the culture influences our Christianity today.   Do you know how it affects you?   Would you recognize it if you saw it?   And then, what would you do about it?   Keith will share with you a test and practical steps to begin overcoming the world you know.
