Since Time Began

Since time began, I saw heav'n and earth created,
Unfolding His plan, God's Spirit on the waters moved.
At the breath of His mouth, there was light, called, "day."
He separated it from darkness; He called it, "night."

The second day, He hurled great lights dividing night from day,
Sun, moon and stars to rule them always.
Day unto day they utter speece, and night unto night they show knowledge,
That this is God, God the Creator.

At the word of His lips, the oceans were moved together to one place
When I heard His voice, dry land appeared before my face.
I saw plants springing forth, taking root in the surrounding sand,
Grass, trees and herbs reproducing the third day at His command.

The next day, He formed the sky in the middle of the waters blue,
I saw them split asunder as He divided the two.
The heavens declare His glory, and the firmament shows His handiwork,
That He is God, God the Creator.

On the fifth day, He spoke and creatures from the sea began to rise,
And the sixth day, from the ground emerged before my eyes,
Again that day I saw Him take the dust and fabricate a man,
Crowned with glory, reflecting the Creator's hand.

So, God created man in His own image,
In the image of Hod He created him, male and female He created them.
Know that the Lord, He is God,
It is He that hath made us and not we ourselves.
I, Wisdom, witness that this is God, the Creator.

Then I was by Him as one brought up with Him,
And I was daily His delight, rejoicing always before Him.
